There are two ways to get to Mürren starting Interlaken. The first and easier trip is via Grütschalp cable car. The second is a longer route via the Stechelberg cable car. However, the second option does allow you to travel through the Lauterbrunnen Valley, see Staubbach Waterfall and Mürrenbachfall before continuing to Mürren.

In order to get from Interlaken to Mürren via Grütschalp, you’ll have to take the following connections:
- First, in Interlaken Ost, take the regional train to Lauterbrunnen.
- In Lauterbrunnen, follow the signs to transfer to the cable car heading to Grütschalp.
- In Grütschalp, transfer to the small train that leads you to Mürren.
How To Get From Interlaken to Mürren via Stechelberg
In order to get from Interlaken to Mürren via Stechelberg, you’ll have to take the following connections:
- First, in Interlaken Ost, take the regional train to Lauterbrunnen.
- In Lauterbrunnen, transfer to the bus that goes in the direction of Stechelberg. At Stechelberg, Schilthornbahn, get off the bus.
- In Stechelberg, transfer to the cable car that leads you to Gimmelwald.
- In Gimmelwald, you will take the connecting cable car to Mürren.

- Bernina Express – Bernina Express is another train route that begins in Chur. Chur is the oldest alpine city in Switzerland and definitely worth visiting. This train route spans 196 bridges. It goes through 55 tunnels and passes 20 beautiful villages in Switzerland.

Yes, Mürren is a car-free village similar to Wengen and Zermatt. As you cannot take your car, you will have to park it at the Lauterbrunnen Valley Terminal or at the parking lot near Schilthornbahn.
If you park at the Lauterbrunnen Valley Terminal, you can take the cable car to Grütschalp, then the train to Mürren. If you park at the Schilthornbahn Parking Lot, you can take the cable cars to Gimmelwald, then Mürren.
