To get from Schaffhausen to Neuhausen Rheinfall, you will need to take the S9 train to Uster. You can get off at Neuhausen Rheinfall stop after 4 minutes of travel time.
Schloss Laufen am Rheinfall is at the southern river bank. To get from Schaffhausen to Schloss Laufen am Rheinfall, you will need to take the S12 to Winterthur or the S33 train to Brugg AG. You can get off at Schloss Laufen am Rheinfall stop after 4 to 5 minutes of travel time.
Neuhausen Bad Bahnhof is also another station at the northern river bank, around 11 minutes away on foot from Rhine Falls. To get from Schaffhausen to Neuhausen Bad Bahnhof, you can take the train to Erzingen (Baden). You can get off at Neuhausen Bad Bahnhof after 3 minutes of travel time.

You can take the ship from Schaffhausen to Rhine Falls. Make your way to the Schaffhausen Ferry Terminal near the Schaffhausen-Feuerthalen Bridge.

If you can, I highly suggest walking or biking alongside the Rhine River from Schaffhausen to Rhine Falls. We did it and it is really a very easy walk, almost mostly flat terrain, making it suitable even for families with young children. Walking will require about an hour, while biking will take half that time.

Visitors to Rhine Falls can take a boat trip in order to experience the waterfall up close. The boats depart from various points near Schlössli Worth and take passengers either near the middle of the waterfalls or to the rock in the middle of the falls.
