Best Route from Wengen to Grindelwald
In my opinion, the best route from Wengen to Grindelwald, although it takes the longest, is the one via Kleine Scheidegg. Kleine Scheidegg sits at the base of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks, providing stunning vistas of these iconic mountains. The view of the North Face of the Eiger from Kleine Scheidegg is particularly famous.

The second-best route from Wengen to Grindelwald is the one via Männlichen. Männlichen offers panoramic views of the surrounding valleys, the Lauterbrunnen Valley, and the Grindelwald Valley.
Honestly, both Kleine Scheidegg and Männlichen are super close and offer amazing views, so you’ll love either one. Plus, there’s a famous 5-kilometer Panorama Trail that links Männlichen with Kleine Scheidegg, so you can enjoy the scenery along the way!
I’d go for the valley route only if it’s pouring rain or if the train or cable car is under maintenance, which often happens in the quieter seasons. If you’re looking to save money on the way back, this option is a budget-friendly choice compared to the other two. But if you’re visiting during peak times, especially in summer, you should have all three options available to you.
