- Take the connecting regional train in Visp to Zermatt.

- Take the train from Geneva to Zurich.
- In Zurich, take the Intercity train to Landquart.
- In Landquart, take the connecting regional train to St. Moritz.

Furthermore, seat reservation is necessary when travelling by Glacier Express. This must be paid in full by all passengers, even those holding discount travel passes. Seat reservation costs from CHF 29 to CHF 39 for short journeys and CHF 39 to CHF 49 for long journeys depending on the season.
